1971 -1977 British Armed Forces (Royal Engineers) Military Engineering contracts Worldwide

1977 -1985 Commercial offshore welding and engineering contracts North Sea.
Oil and gas for Phillips Petroleum, British Gas, Shell, Brown & Root.

1986 - 1994 International Marine Leisure.
Engineering, Skipper Charter & Shore based Charter Management.
With contracts in Australia, Mediterranean, Middle & Far East.
During 1994 Steve worked with IFAW; International Fund for Animal Welfare on the Whale research vessel 'Song of the Whale', conducting Fin and Sperm whale survey's off the West coast of Corsica.

In 1994 Steve accepted a 3 year contract with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board in partnership with private investors to initiate a £3 million European grant aided peace and reconciliation project on Lough Erne Co Fermanagh NI.
This project included the planning, construction and full implementation of a inland waterways hire fleet and private motor yacht marina. As Clerk of Works the project planning included. The hiring of a multicultural staff group. Overseeing equipment purchase and quality control of the company boat building program.
Site Health & Safety. The building of Jetties, slipway and workshops.Project completed 12 months ahead of schedule.


1997-2000: With the Co Fermanagh Project successfully completed ahead of schedule and under budget Steve accepted independent feasibility studies as Marine Projects Adviser to Dublin based consultancy group "Tourism Development International". Investigating projects requiring grant funding throughout Irish inland and coastal waterways.

2000 - 2005: Electrical and engineering sections manager with EC Landamore Wroxham Norfolk UK.
Landamore are sub-contractors for Oyster Sailing Yachts.
These yachts are bespoke non-production vessels customized to the owners wishes.

2005 - 2010: Projects/contracts manager. Employed by CJ Broom in Brundall Norfolk UK. Builder of bespoke motor yachts.

Present: Health Safety Manager. Oyster Yachts Wroxham.


Steve's diversity of experience and skills has ensured the natural progression into individual client representation for both sail and motor yacht purchase, yacht systems planning and CAD drawing.
Holder of the RYA Yachtmaster offshore qualification, commercially endorsed.

NEBOSH qualified Steve provides on site and factory safety inspections written H&S documentation in the form of bespoke Risk Assessments, Safe Working Pr
ocedures and Method Statements.
